Abstract

|
|
The nitrosamines and nitrosamide were found to induce cancer in several reports, and several anticancer drugs might also induce other types of malignancies when they were used over a period, In an effect to define whether several anticancer drugs inhibit or augment the effects of nitro-compound on cancer development, an experimental study was carried out in the rat(Sprague dowley).
The results were as follows;
1) In forestomach, the squamous metaplasia and suspicious invasive lesion were demonstrated as the precancerous lesion.
2) The precancerous lesions described above were much more observed in the group which administered picibanil with krestin than group only nitrosoguanidine administration.
3) The common site of these lesions was on lesser curvature of anterior wall of stomach.
4) A glandular cystic dilatation with proliferation in glandular stomach was suspected as precancerous lesion, and it was observed much more in the groups with nitroguanidine and picibanil.
